The fifth and sixth graders made some awesome ''magic paintings'' this week. Here are some pics of the fifth graders at work.
Last week, the fifth and sixth graders made pretty macrame bracelets for their moms. Look how well they turned out! Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day!
Today we learned how people celebrate Easter in the United States-- they decorate eggs, get baskets from the Easter Bunny, and do Easter egg hunts. We had our own Easter egg hunt on the patio. It was very fun!! The Easter PowerPoint is up on the Presentations page. Here is a link to a cute video about decorating Easter eggs. Happy Easter!
Today we played this Basketball Videogame to practice comparatives and superlatives. Now you can play it at home! Can you answer those hard three-point questions??
The fifth graders turned their hand prints into doves in this mural for Peace Day. "Your hands are doves of peace." Here are some belated images of the fifth graders' Christmas tree ornaments. The fifth graders have been busy decorating the school for Christmas. They made lovely Christmas balls for our Christmas tree bulletin board, and now are working on little paper presents. They should finish up today, and we will post pictures!
Yesterday, the fifth graders finished the little turkeys they started last week. They made the turkeys out of pine cones, autumn leaves, and a little bit of card stock. It was hard to stick them together, but in the end, they look great! Next week we'll talk more about Thanksgiving... also known as Turkey Day! |
